Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum, August 7, 1932

Completed in 1923, the Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum hosted the Olympics in 1932 and again in1984, and will do so again for the third time when LA hosts the Olympics in 2028. This storied stadium served as home of the Los Angeles Rams from 1946 to 1979 and again from 2016-2019. It serves as the home of the University of Southern California Trojans football team.
On August 7, 1932, the Coliseum saw new World’s Records for the Men’s 4 x 100 meter relay, the Men’s 4 x 400 meter relay, the Women’s 4 x 100 meter relay and the Women’s high jump.
