Known as the “Last of the Great Railway Stations” built in the United States, Union Station combines elements of Art Deco, Mission Revival, and Streamline Moderne style and remains a major transportation hub for Southern California. Four of Amtrak’s long-distance trains originate and terminate here.

An LA icon since its construction, Union Station has appeared in in numerous films and TV shows, including Union Station/i> in 1950, Blade Runner, Bugsy, and To Live and Die in LA.

The LA Terminal Annex of the USPS was the central mail processing facility for Los Angeles from 1940-1989. It’s lobby contains twelve Federal Art Project murals painted by Boris Deutsch from 1941-1944.

Both Union Station and Terminal Annex are listed in the National Register of Historic Places.
